Serve
God-honoring, Christ-exalting service is focused on channeling God's grace to people either verbally or visually. This ministry is expressed in two primary activities – evangelism (local & abroad) and encouragement. Throughout the book of Acts, God's early church servants recognized their God-given mission to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:18-20), and they habitually engaged in gospel proclamation (Acts 4:29; 16:17; 20:19-21; cf. II Corinthians 4:5-6). Furthermore, they continued to minister God's grace to each other through Christ-honoring words and works (Romans 12:9-13; Galatians 5:13-14; 6:10; II Timothy 2:2; Titus 3:8; James 2:15-16).
At Single Focus, we are committed to serving and glorifying God by fulfilling His mission for the church through evangelism and encouragement (cf. our study through Titus). In evangelism, we want to "adorn the gospel" (Titus 2:10) by (1) proclaiming its message with our lips and (2) highlighting its power with our lives. In encouragement, we want to follow the example of our Savior by (1) serving people physically (John 13:15) and (2) ministering grace to them verbally (Ephesians 4:29).
