This is our fourth annual "Secret Santa" with some of the kids from the Good News Mission Youth Center in downtown Indianapolis. Below, you will find a description of those kids with a list of items they would like for Christmas.

To sign-up for a particular item(s) to purchase, click the button below. Then, bring the wrapped gift with you to the Good News Secret Santa Christmas Party on Sunday, December 14 from 12:15-2:15 p.m. in The Gathering Place. If possible, please select a gift for one of the teens who hasn't had anything purchased for them yet.

Dana Gowdy (18)

Dana has been coming to the center for about 8 years. He is probably our most faithful kid and has become a leader. It has been really cool to watch Dana grow from a kid into a young man. He goes to Five Stones Camp every summer. Dana enjoys swimming, music, and video games. Dana also likes making people happy and going to church.

Mykel Bryant (13)

Mykel has been coming to the center for 3 years. He is Deavonta, Dareionta, and Will’s older brother. Mykel was saved his first week at Colonial on a Wednesday night. He is a good kid who is growing as a Christian every day. Mykel enjoys playing basketball, football, and math. When he grows up Mykel wants to either be in the NBA or be a doctor.

Will Hawkins (12)

Will has been coming to the center for about 3 years. He is another brother of Dareionta, Mykel, and Deavonta. Will is very athletic and is always playing football, basketball, or any other game we have going on. Will enjoys sports and math. When he grows up Will wants to either play professional sports or start his own business.

Deavonte Hawkins (11)

Deavonta has been coming to the center for about 3 years. He is one of Dareionta’s brothers and is one of our most faithful kids. Deavonta was saved 2 years ago after a Bible study at the center. He has been baptized and is growing every single day as a Christian. Deavonta enjoys playing sports. When he grows up Deavonta wants to play professional sports.

Deonta Stark (17)

Deontae (Pooh-d) is one of the leaders here at the center. Pooh-d and Dana have been going to the center for a long time together and have basically grown up at the center. It has been really cool to watch Pooh-d grow as a Christian and as a young man. Pooh-d enjoys sports and theatre. Pooh-d’s future plans are to attend college next year and graduate.

Darionte Hawkins (10)

Dareionta has been coming to the center for about 3 years. He is (along with his brothers) one of our core kids. Dareionta was saved last year at Colonial in the 3rd grade class on a Wednesday evening. He was just baptized last Sunday evening and is growing every day.

Damonta French (11)

Damonta (Monta) has been coming to the center for about 4 years. He is Iyonna’s brother and is one of our core kids. He has a lot of potential as a future leader at the center. Monta enjoys playing basketball, football, and soccer. When he grows up Monta wants to be a lawyer or play in the NBA.

Iyonna Evans (12)

Iyonna has been coming to the center for 4 years. She is one of our most faithful kids and is very involved. Iyonna was saved this year (11/19/14) at the center. She had been struggling with assurance of salvation for several years and finally came back after a Bible study, talked to Kristen and Krista, and trusted Christ! Iyonna likes cheerleading and playing basketball. When she grows up Iyonna wants to be a nurse.

Pat Eldridge (19)

Patrick is a Senior at Arsenal Tech High School. He has been coming to the center for about a year. Last year during our Basketball season Pat began coming and getting involved. Through the basketball program Pat was saved and has been a faithful member of the center ever since. Patrick enjoys playing any sport. His future plans are to go to college and graduate.
