Sunday Worship Services
The church is crucially important. The church is not a building, but a body; and the importance of this body is foundationally highlighted by our Savior Himself. In Matthew 16:18, He promised to build His church; in Acts 20:28, we are reminded that He purchased this body with His own blood; in Ephesians 2:20, He is revealed to be the very cornerstone of this spiritual building. Furthermore, Paul writes in Ephesians 3:10 that the universal church exists to display God's multifaceted wisdom to the angels and demons. What an incredible reality! Paul also underlines the importance of the local church in 1 Timothy 3:15, when he describes it as the "house of God," "the church of the living God," and "the pillar and ground of the truth." In fact, the New Testament proclaims the church, as visualized in its local assemblies, to be the preeminent place of God's program today. After all, it is the church that has been entrusted with the most precious message–the Gospel.
Single Focus is a ministry of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. It is not its own separate entity, and it could not survive on its own. We firmly believe that we will only be as healthy as our connection to a local church is strong. Therefore, a crucial element of Single Focus is whole-hearted involvement in the Sunday worship services at our church.
Our Sunday Morning Bible Study precedes our Morning Worship Service and starts at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. Colonial's worship services (Sundays at 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.) are times of God-honoring music, Christ-exalting worship, and Bible-centered preaching.
